For those of us who are more aware of the workings of the subtle forces, be it in the subconscious, in the atmosphere, or from a higher realm, it is likely that we have periods of time in which the ability to focus on the material world is more limited than usual. A form of writer's block, but for the spirit and soul, in which some form of blockade is preventing the natural progression of inner energy in action.
I feel that this can be looked at in a completely positive way. Being aware of the easiness to fall into guilty thinking, self judgement, and projection of inadequacy, finding a positive angle is a matter of importance in order to stay afloat in these times. We can look at the surroundings and notice that others are doing their things, and look at ourselves and make a negative comparison. This is something better to be avoided, as it cannot result in a positive evolution of self.
When we have these hurdles to cross but we cannot see or mentalise them, when there is no rational explanation for our lack of motivation despite the want and desire to be motivated, there is something happening within us that is causing it. For me the best explanation is that we are changing somehow inside, at a deep level, perhaps so that we cannot notice it, however this is taking up a lot of our personal energy. The re-writing of neural networks takes a great deal of energy for the body, and if we are in a learning environment or in a period of personal change or growth, days of silent but inner struggle can occur.
Handling it is a matter of keeping the desire for motivation in mind, and to continually push self to break into material action when ever possible. Listen to the body and if need of rest is what is felt, then rest. If the work to do is piling up, then do what you can, but put the inner you in its right place.
Perhaps it could be likened to being in the presence of a great teacher, whose voice cannot be heard or even felt, but the inner feeling is that deep inside there are things we need to address, and until they materialise into the conscious mind, the body has to allow itself the time and space to do the invisible work. These things are complicated as the body is more of a tool for us when from this perspective. And it could be likened to a system update in the background, slowing everything down.
By not allowing the slower pace to form into a habit and by accepting the need for it during the times when it is the best option available, we can safely navigate these strange waters. Having free mind time and less get up and go can be a good thing for us in other ways. It can help us to take a break from less serious matters and to also think about more simple yet vital things that we may neglect when in full gear.
Allow it, be yourself, and go with the flow, then put in your paddles worth when the time is right to push off. Letting the flow of life take us when the currents are too strong is not something we can avoid, but we can also be on the lookout for something to grab a hold of or someone who needs us, that by the miracle of nature, we have been placed in their path.
