When we reach the furthest reaches of our vision, we find that we see a universe made of filaments and background radiation, we see the origins of our universe. What we cannot do is see the furthest reaches of space as they are today, all we have is what our own Earth can show us about where we are, the universe of the present moment, if we do not wish to look into the past, is technically in our mind, our awareness. Of course the distance between me and the person sitting next to me is so small that the light and sound which they reflect and produce takes nearly no time at all in my perception, yet the infinite number of increments of time within that tiny space can be theorised by a recurring decimal point into the ever smaller fractions of now. And so we don't really know what is at the end of the actual universe, we only know what it looked like when the light we see was formed, billions of years in the past. The earth looks nothing like what it did a thousand years in the past, with the onset of electric lighting and cities that touch the clouds, so we really cannot know.
The interesting point I want to conclude on is that when we look within, the process is almost the same. As we dive deeper into ourself, our conscious awareness, we strip away the thinking of our mind until we are left with the bare minimum. This seems to be a back in time journey through the medium of feelings. So when we travel deep in to our own psyche, we uncover feelings that we felt many years ago. Perhaps at the edge of our own universe, our internal cosmos, is some kind of big bang of birth and for us all, this will carry a different story, different feelings and different sensations. It's very well saying that when this person goes within, they find peace and bliss, but it is not to say that everyone will experience this. The distant past of our awareness is a unique story, written in many languages and in many reproductions of itself. Sure, at the very bottom, there is a sensation of nothingness, blankness, we could describe it as peace, but unless we carry with us those feelings of security, love and joy then we will not be able to sense them in this place. Like with space, the cosmic background radiation is always there, only with each parsec closer to where we stand, more light is added to the mix. Nothing can be done about what is already there, we can only affect what is about to happen, now.
