Our children will discover things that make their lives seem better, a sport, a hobby, a musical instrument, a type of book, what ever they find. These things are their path and they help to guide our children into maturity. They learn from their own hearts and feelings by exploring what their surroundings have to offer. To give them a freedom to explore and do, feel, and be without worry or concern, without limit, and of course be there to stop fights and to ensure peace, but the more we let go, the less we are required to act. Giving ourselves up to the flow of our children's lives, allowing them to guide us in how they wish to be parented, will ensure that their wings will unfold fully, and when they grow up have the best chance of having courage and stability, to follow their hearts, follow their feelings, take hold of their own path.
When our children encounter things that cause discomfort, they bring it to us, as parents. We listen, accept their feelings and help them see that they do not need to involve or join in with the things that cause these feelings, and in fact this is their way of telling themselves to take a step back.
Our children are amazing, stand back and watch.
