When carving the cake of rights,
Do the parents get a slice?
When deciding to prolong life,
Does a mother know what's right?
Can the door be locked,
A father's choices stopped,
When suffering means so much,
Can the parents have enough?
What happened to cause this,
When a state claims our kids,
And over-rules a family's wish.
