Poetry by Rowan Blair Colver
I went to a cherry brandy bar,
A summer fruit liqueur bazaar,
The menu read like a tabloid,
Listing variations of the alcoholoid,
Beverage destined to wet the lips,
Merry little jests and quips,
Cheery cherry coke and cherry diet coke,
Cherry coke zero and cherry pepsi max,
Lemonade with cherry top and cherry very pop,
Dandelion and burdock,
Home made ice cream soda,
Cherry liqueur with brandy over,
The bar was the Blossom and Trouble,
So I had to have a double,
Just a straight with no fancy name,
When it's been brewed,
Perfectly for you,
It deserves to be drunk the same.
