Foreign calm,
Unknown sensation,
Of peace within,
How can I find you?
Tranquil moment,
Place of internal stillness,
Am I simply different,
Why must you churn?
I see no future,
I feel no past,
All I have is the instance,
And its thorns,
Makes enlightenment seem,
Like some kind of joke,
A disconnect from truth,
Who wants it anyway?
All I want is the calm,
When the violent thrash,
Of verbal onslaught,
Penetrates my eyes,
And the pictures of the happening,
Scald my inner mind,
And the unleashed forces,
Of the storm lash like tiny little knives,
I searched for peace and stillness,
But instead I found life.
