Mentions of memory in projections of truth
Life in the hands of a tormented youth
Scorned and abhorred for not being the right you
Like so many before have instructed them to
The funneling and channeling order and class
Reducing the person into solutions of glass
Containers in lines along the dusty row
Spilling with panic that tomorrow
They'll be asked to go
And so, please give reason to feel that it will
Turn out in their favour if they only would drill
Into their selves the ideas that work best
To get through the day and keep up with the rest
So what if they contribute a great deal less
But their efforts are from the heart and the head
No matter what they give no matter what they do
By being the best version we manage to get through
Expecting the same from each of us in life
Is causing many to feel inadequate to try
And giving them ideas like it would be better to die
There's nothing for me here in this second class life
So please remember adults that the problem is with you
Make sure you honour them before telling the truth
Wait until the time when you know what to say
And be as gentle as the wind on a still and peaceful day
