By Rowan Blair Colver
Man up, mate,
You're doing okay,
Life's rarely easy,
Just take a break,
Put stress to one side,
Think of other things,
Relax in your stride,
No need to winge,
Pull yourself together,
Slowly one at a time,
Take as long as you need,
No-one really minds,
You know you do your best,
And you understand your mess,
So let time take its course,
And this is not a test,
Just a pattern of life,
That we all must go through,
Stick to your sunshine,
And don't howl at the moon,
Broken hearts and troubled dreams,
Take more bother than it seems,
No-one asks about self-esteem,
Just call it ego and wink secretly,
I know it's tough when you don't know,
If anyone cares about how you go,
If anyone notices that you're finding it rough,
Or if one day soon you'll have had enough,
It's up to here you say,
The water is rising fast,
Well change your focus,
And make it the past,
Nothing is done that must decide
The next choice you make with your mind,
So move along and keep on smiling,
Because under the raincloud,
Is always a silver lining.
