Wait, is that the alarm?
This is different,
No-one is calm,
I can hear screams,
Pounding of feet,
Is that gunfire?
Holy moly yes it is,
It sounds automatic,
Way stronger than mine,
This little pistol,
For authority is fine,
But against that thing?
How can I win,
I am just one deputy,
No leadership,
Shit,
What do I do?
Where is the gunman?
I hear something over here,
Let's see if I can catch him,
Unaware,
My only chance,
Is the element of surprise,
Or he will kill me,
Right before their eyes,
Oh help,
What do I do?
Now I'm beginning to panic,
Is he in that room?
Oh thank goodness,
The cavalry are here,
Reporting for duty,
Now fighting back my tears,
It's worse than I feared,
Here come the dead and wounded,
On stretchers in dozens,
Am I so lucky,
To not be another?
