Silly me,
For a moment there,
I thought I needed more,
Than companionship, courage, and peace.
How foolish I was,
To think for a second,
That I don't do enough,
When I do everything with love,
I know I was mistaken,
In that fleeting moment,
When I considered myself a tool,
A possession of some illusion.
I'm such a clown,
You know for a while,
I really thought money was real,
It's just good faith to say we do not steal.
Oh well, perhaps I was wrong,
When I followed the thought,
That said I was at fault,
For being who I am.
So I was untrue,
When I thought that I owed you,
For something I didn't ask for,
When I didn't need any more.
