Steps in time to the sound of solitude
The mental hypnosis of one and the pace
Beneath sensitive soles with protective case
Generations of wholes leave their echoes for you
When entranced by the flow of things
The universe passes by all that you are
And the colours float by in a dazing daytime star
Of gratitude for your passing with your breath
From the stomach project and feel no obligation
To think of anything or anyone until you hear
Them call you by name in such days when nothing
Will be the same like all days that have ever been
So keep walking and be known by the all
In the time it takes to grow tall and forget
How it felt to be made to feel small by the world
Which is rightfully big and ancient and adopted
The fools who emulate with a moment to contemplate
Soundly hounded and whistled into self
Like the boy crying out when no-one could hear
But a stranger in the mist with a direct line to fear
