I saw that God was crying
Tears of liquid love
An uncontrollable weeping
From the great man above
I saw his field of vision
The planet of human kind
I saw the darkness and atrocity
And the abuse of innocent mind
I witnessed blood and bleeding
Bloodshed, bloody bloodsoaked,
Disturbance and death,
I saw the grand deception
In all its width and breadth
I noticed the ignorance of people
Making choices they'd soon regret
I watched the burning steeples
Bombed churches of sanctuary wrecked
And saw the laughing madmen
Who revelled in the destruction and pain
I saw God was crying
I never thought I'd be the same
So placing my hands around his back
And looking him in the eye
I addressed the divine with my own self
And said, "Please, do not cry"
But he pointed again to what I saw
And then I looked again
I saw the beautiful people out there
Responding to the worlds pain
I noticed the love in the eyes of those
Who cared not for the crimes of the past
And I witnessed great acts of compassion
When there was not enough to last
When I spied all the great artists
Secret givers and humble masters of truth
And the accepting flow of gratitude for life
Regardless of water or roof
The first thing in the world is light and the truth
The darkness could only adjust
I saw the reason for the shame of the world
And knew that time is a must
For each and every one of us here
Is gifted with a sense of art
No matter how small or how broken it is
There is a human in the heart
Each born child in line from the original crime
Abandonment and breaking for yoke
With the blessing of love from people they find
The poison is diluted when spoke
