A Gift of Verse - Thank you for reading!
What is a real man? He is honest, and sincere, loving all held dear. He wont keep you like a girl, with every whim catered for, he will treat you like a woman, capable and secure. He won't make a promise of the world, with every jewel on show, fantasy is for child's play, he's real and he knows, a real man will own his weakness and his strength as one, unity in being he wont be undone, no parade of might or exaggerated power, just adoration and passing soap in the shower. There'll be no lies about a future free from pain and woe, but he wont go looking for the next woman to know, he can promise to be true even when he doesn't know all of you, and he knows you don't know all of him and he won't demand your attention, so he can make it clear, you're so dear, he'll just be, peacefully, in unity, and respect, honour, project a joint future, revel in the cuddle, and bliss with the kiss, he'll know where his heart is, and he'll always see fit, to treat his woman as his equal. A real man doesn't pose, he won't say he knows, and he wont wear the mask of the monster or the villain, but he'll gently say with all that's in him, that he'll do his best, he'll damn well try, he'll do everything he can to never make you cry.
