Look keenly in all directions,
Listen to the faint sounds,
That may be well in the distance,
Or just slightly out of view,
And be present with the steps,
As you journey through,
When crossing the road of life,
From meadows of blossom,
To the ghostly shade of oak trees,
Sitting by the bridleway,
Be aware of what surrounds you,
The motion of the world,
And how it relates to itself,
Each stimulus a reaction,
Along so many lines of view,
An ocean of decisions,
And then there stands you,
When crossing the road of life,
Walk calmly with head held high,
Stay focused on the world around you,
Until you get to the other side.
